Introduction to June Scholarships

School may be out for the summer, but that doesn't mean there aren't PLENTY of scholarships to apply for in June!

This post highlights almost thirty great scholarships for students of all kinds to apply for throughout the month of June. Some of these June scholarships are specific to students in certain areas of study, years in school, and geographic locations, while others are more general/open to a wider range of students.

As I've always said, the more specific you can get with the types of scholarships you apply for, the better! So, let my June scholarships resource be a launching point to help you kickstart your summer of searching, applying for, and winning, as many scholarships as you can.

    Eligibility: Our very own no-essay scholarship is open to high school, college, and graduate students in the US. International students in the US and undocumented students are encouraged to apply!

  • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: June 30

    Eligibility: Open to high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. 

  • Amount: $2,000

    Deadline: June 30

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and undergraduate students in the US.

  • Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility: Open to Charlotte-area high school seniors, college freshmen, and college sophomores planning to pursue a non-performing career in theater.

    Eligibility: Open to Baltimore high school seniors with financial need who have been accepted to a four-year college or university. Must be eligible to receive a federal Pell Grant.

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and undergraduate students from Connecticut who are of Latinx descent. Must have financial need and at least a 3.0 GPA.

  • Amount: $4,000

    Deadline: June 2

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and current college students who identify as lesbian.

  • Amount: Varies ($2,000+)

    Deadline: June 3

    Eligibility: Multiple scholarships open to college juniors and above who identify as LGTBQ+ or as an LGBTQ+ ally and are pursuing a degree in a STEM discipline. Minimum 2.75 GPA.

  • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: June 5

    Eligibility: Open to students pursuing a major in music, arts, drama, or dance. Must be a person with a bleeding disorder OR must have an immediate family member with a bleeding disorder; however, priority will be given to those with bleeding disorders.

  • Amount: $500 - $10,000

    Deadline: June 7

    Eligibility: Open to students ages 14 and older in the US and Canada. Must attend a high school, home school association, or other school-sanctioned prom during the calendar year.

    Deadline: June 9

    Eligibility: Open to college sophomores, juniors and seniors pursuing degrees in transit-related fields.

  • Amount: $2,000 per year

    Deadline: June 13

    Eligibility: Open to women who are rising seniors in college studying engineering, math or science, interested in entering the aerospace field.

    Deadline: June 15

    Eligibility: Open to undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarships will be judged on the basis of the candidates’ history of service to Theta Delta Chi Fraternity, their Scholastic achievements, and their financial need.

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: June 15

    Eligibility: Open to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States. Must be currently enrolled in an associate's program and have demonstrated financial need. 

  • Amount: Varies

    Deadline: June 15

    Eligibility: Open to tribal citizens residing within the Cherokee Nation reservation and contiguous boundaries or citizens who are eligible for the Pell grant and live outside those areas. Eligible high school juniors and seniors may also qualify for concurrent college classes.

  • Amount: $5,000

    Deadline: June 15

    Eligibility: Open to filmmakers ages 13-25.

  • Amount: $500

    Deadline: June 19

    Eligibility: Open to student athletes of all kinds - must be a high school senior or current college student.

  • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: June 30

    Eligibility: Open to college-bound graduating high school seniors, current college students, and adult learners. Must reside in a rural area and meet the income criteria outlined on the scholarship page.

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: June 30

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and college students who have shown perseverance in pursuing a college degree. Must have at least a 3.5 GPA.

  • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: June 30

    Eligibility: Open to high school students, along with current college and graduate school students.

  • Amount: $1,000 - $5,000

    Deadline: June 30

    Eligibility: Open to students in high school; undergraduate, graduate or professional school; or trade or vocational school who express activism in the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) and/or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) communities. International students studying in the US may apply!

  • Amount: Varies

    Deadline: July 1

    Eligibility: Open to student members of the Hispanic Dental Association who have been accepted or enrolled into an accredited dental, dental residency, dental hygiene, dental assisting or dental laboratory technician program. Students must be a current student member of the Hispanic Dental Association.
