Scholarship Description

The Beacon Scholarship for Rural America helps low-income students living in rural areas with their college endeavors. College-bound graduating high school seniors, current college students or adult learners may apply. Three $1,000 scholarships are awarded every year. Two Fall scholarships are awarded every year in July (applications are due by June 30) and one Spring scholarship is awarded every year in November (applications are due by October 31). Applicants must reside in a rural area and meet low-income criteria outlined in our online application at https://carrot-top.com/beacon-scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

  • 3.0 Minimum GPA
  • Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
  • Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
  • Type of institution award is open to: trade/technical school
  • Award is available to U.S. citizens
