Introduction to March scholarships

Whether you're a high school student with paying for college on your mind, or a current college student figuring out how you're going to pay for your education, you're in luck. March is a big month for scholarships!

Below, we have highlighted over forty great and diverse scholarship opportunities to check out and apply for in the month of March.

  • Amount: $25,000

    Deadline: May 31

    Eligibility: Open to high school and college students who are US residents. No essay required! 

  • Amount: $2,000

    Deadline: March 31

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and undergraduate students in the US.

  • Amount: $50,000 total ($1,000 x 4 awards per month)

    Deadline: End of March

    Eligibility: Open to US high school and college students ages 16 and older. All you need to do to apply is create an account.

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: March 31

    Eligibility: Open to all students 13 and older!

  • Amount: Varies, but usually it's between $1,000 and $2,500!

    Eligibility: Open to high school, college, and graduate students in the US.

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: March 31

    Eligibility: Open to high school juniors and seniors interested in attending a Christian college or university.

  • Amount: up to $5,000

    Deadline: March 1

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and undergraduate students from historically underrepresented minority groups in the chemical sciences (Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian), majoring in chemistry-related disciplines, and intending to pursue chemistry-related careers.

  • Amount: up to $2,000

    Deadline: March 1

    Eligibility: Open to financially needy undergraduate and graduate students with close social and cultural ties to an American Indian community in the state of Washington. Must have demonstrated financial need and have filed the FAFSA.

  • Amount: $3,000 - $5,000

    Deadline: March 1

    Eligibility: Open to Asian/Pacific Islander high school seniors in the US. Must have at least a 3.3 GPA.

  • Amount: Varies, up to $10,000

    Deadline: March 1

    Eligibility: Open to Baltimore city public high school graduates.

  • Amount: $10,000

    Deadline: March 1

    Eligibility: Open to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need. Must have at least a 3.75 GPA and have already filed the FAFSA.

  • Amount: up to $10,000

    Deadline: March 1

    Eligibility: Open to all students ages 14 and older. Must be enrolled in a US high school, college, or university. International students in the US (with valid visas) are also eligible to apply!

  • Amount: up to $8,000

    Deadline: March 1

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors whose parent or legal guardian is employed by California winegrape growers.

  • Amount: up to $8,000

    Deadline: March 2

    Eligibility: Open to students enrolled at certain California Bay Area public universities (California State University, East Bay Campus; San Francisco State University; San Jose State University; Sonoma State University; or University of California at Berkeley).

  • Amount: $5,000 - $10,000

    Deadline: March 6

    Eligibility: Open to nursing students in North Carolina. Must be a resident of Durham, Orange, Chatham, Wake, or Person County.

  • Amount: Varies

    Deadline: March 6

    Eligibility: The  San Diego Foundation Common Scholarship Application gives San Diego students access to more than 100 scholarships that comprise our Community Scholarship Program by filling out just one application. Applicants must have current residence in San Diego County (for at least one year).

  • Amount: up to $5,000

    Deadline: March 13

    Eligibility: Open to Black and African American high school senior students with financial need pursuing careers in technology at four-year universities in the US. Must plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or select business programs (such as finance, business administration, or marketing), and have at least a 3.3 GPA.

  • Amount: $20,000

    Deadline: March 13

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors with disabilities who plan to attend a vocational or academic college and target a career in the technology industry. Must have financial need, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and a demonstrated passion for technology. Eligible majors include those in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business, or related fields.

  • Amount: $5,000

    Deadline: March 14

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors with financial need who will be first-generation college students at any four-year college or university in the US. Applicants do not have to be U.S. citizens, but they must have a minimum 3.5 weighted GPA and graduate from US accredited high schools.   • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: March 14

    Eligibility: Open to female-identifying high school seniors. Must have a minimum 3.5 GPA.

  • Amount: up to $55,000

    Deadline: March 14

    Eligibility: Open to all students in the US grades K-12.

  • Amount: $25,000 per year

    Deadline: Not accepting applications yet

    Eligibility: Open to students who will be entering any year of undergraduate study in the upcoming academic year, and want to enter product design or experience design-related careers (e.g. digital, web, UX/UI, industrial design, or similar). Applications are encouraged from candidates including, but not limited to: racial or ethnic minorities, females, those who identify as LGBTQ+, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities.

  • Amount: up to $7,500

    Deadline: March 15

    Eligibility: Open to students pursuing degrees in hospitality / hotel management.

  • Amount: $25,000

    Deadline: March 15

    Eligibility: Open to US citizen high school juniors with financial need. Must display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity. 

  • Amount: $10,000 - $12,500 per year

    Deadline: March 15

    Eligibility: Open to Black high school seniors. Must be able to show Colorado residency for at least 3 years.

  • Amount: up to $2,500

    Deadline: March 22

    Eligibility: Open to students age 10-18, grades 5-12, residing in North America or Hawaii.

  • Amount: $3,200

    Deadline: March 22

    Eligibility: Open to students who currently hold an active license/certificate to practice in a clinical health career (e.g., as a nurse, physician assistant, clinical psychologist, or clinical social worker), and are enrolled in or planning to attend school to complete a degree or certification to advance their current clinical credentials.   

    Awards will be given to historically underrepresented students, including those who identify as Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, and Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander. 

  • Amount: up to $10,000

    Deadline: March 25

    Eligibility: Open to Charlotte-area high school seniors, college freshmen, and college sophomores planning to pursue a non-performing career in theater.

  • Amount: up to $5,000

    Deadline: March 31

    Eligibility: Open to all first, second and third year medical or dental students*. Students must be in good standing at an accredited U.S. medical or dental school in the USA at the time of application. Applicants must be current or pending CAMS Student members to apply.

  • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: March 31

    Eligibility: Open to African American female graduate students who played a sport in their undergraduate program. 

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: March 31

    Eligibility: Open to current college juniors who have demonstrated a desire to serve in a career of research, regulatory work, quality control, or teaching in an area related to some aspect of foods, drugs or consumer product safety. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

  • Amount: Varies

    Deadline: March 31

    Eligibility: Open to students who identify as a female/woman and pursue an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science globally. 

    Freshman scholarships are open to current college freshmen as well as high school seniors. Some, but not all, scholarships require SWE membership.
