Introduction to February scholarships

The fact that January is a big month for scholarships might lead you to believe that February scholarships are few and far between. However, I can assure you that that is certainly not the case!

Below, I have curated a list of 30 awesome scholarships with deadlines in February.

You'll notice that many of them expire at the beginning of the month! So, if your goal is to maximize the potential amount of money that you can win through scholarships, I encourage you to get started ASAP on applying for the February scholarships that you're eligible for.

  • Amount: $25,000

    Deadline: February 29

    Eligibility: Open to high school, college and graduate students of all grades who are residents of the US.

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: February 28 

    Eligibility: Open to all students 13 and older!

  • Amount: $10,000

    Deadline: Rolling 

    Eligibility: Open to high school sophomores and juniors in the US.

     

  • Amount: $2,000

    Deadline: March 31 

    Eligibility:Open to high school students of all grades who are residents of the US.

  • Amount: Varies, but it's usually between $1,000 and $2,500!

    Deadline: February 28

    Eligibility: Open to high school, college, and graduate students in the US.

  • Amount: $50,000 total ($1,000 x 4 awards per month)

    Deadline: February 28

    Eligibility: Open to US high school and college students ages 16 and older. All you need to do to apply is create an account.

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: Rolling

    Eligibility: Open to high school juniors and seniors interested in attending a Christian college or university.

  • Amount: $2,000

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and undergraduate students in the US.

  • Amount: Varies

    Deadline: February 1

    Eligibility: Open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students majoring in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a closely related field, at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada. Must have completed at least one PLTW class.

    Eligibility: Open to Black/African American females from the Denver metro area. Must be a high school senior planning to enroll in a two or four-year college. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

  • Amount: $500

    Deadline: February 1

    Eligibility: Open to elementary, middle, and high school students.

  • Amount: Varies

    Eligibility: Open to dental hygiene students and dental hygienists who demonstrate a commitment to advance the discipline of dental hygiene. Eligibility varies by scholarship.

  • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: February 1

    Eligibility: Open to all high school students, college freshmen, and college sophomores.

  • Amount: $5,000 - $7,000

    Deadline: February 1

    Eligibility: The Fund seeks candidates motivated by spiritual values. Open to graduate students and undergraduates with one year of college completed. Preference to candidates who reside in or attend schools in these states: Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia.

  • Amount: $10,000

    Deadline: February 1

    Eligibility: Open to women and minority college graduates who will be entering their first year of post-graduate studies in a program related to sports administration.

  • Amount: Varies

    Deadline: February 2

    Eligibility: Open to registered nurses seeking masters and doctoral degrees from accredited nursing programs in colleges and universities within the United States.

  • Amount: $2,500 - $20,000

    Deadline: February 4 

    Eligibility: Open to immigrant students and children of immigrants who are graduating from a New York City high school to attend public or private colleges and universities, regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status.

  • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: February 5

    Eligibility: Open to graduating high school seniors in Florida who demonstrate excellence in creative writing, dance, drama, music or visual art.

  • Amount: $30,000

    Deadline: February 6

    Eligibility: Open to full-time students pursuing bachelor’s degrees with junior-level academic standing. Must be a US citizen.

  • Amount: up to $100,000

    Deadline: February 13

    Eligibility: Open to high school seniors who have at least one parent with Hispanic heritage. Must be a US resident planning to attend a two or four-year college or university. Minimum 2.8 GPA.

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: February 14

    Eligibility: Open to Asian/Pacific Islander lesbian, bisexual, or queer women or transgender individuals pursuing technical, professional, or trades certification or other tuition-based learning. Can be a high school senior or currently enrolled student. 

  • Amount: $500 - $5,000

    Deadline: February 15

    Eligibility: Open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, eligible non-citizens or DACA students of Hispanic heritage with plans to enroll full time in an accredited U.S. 4-year university in the upcoming academic year. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA for undergraduate and graduate students and 3.0 GPA for high school students. Emphasis on STEM majors.

  • Amount: $3,000 - $20,000

    Deadline: February 15

    Eligibility: Academic scholarships of various categories open to students in Texas.

  • Amount: $2,000

    Deadline: February 16

    Eligibility: Open to low-income women ages 35 and older who are pursuing an undergraduate education in the United States.

  • Amount: up to $10,000

    Deadline: February 20

    Eligibility: Open to graduating U.S. high school students who promoted vegetarianism (includes veganism) in their schools and/or communities.

  • Amount: up to $6,000

    Deadline: February 23

    Eligibility: Open to ethnic minority students in California interested in becoming educators, school nurses, school counselors or school therapists. Must be pursuing a degree, credential or certification for a teaching-related career in public education in an accredited institution of higher education.

  • Amount: $1,500

    Deadline: February 26

    Eligibility: Open to graduating high school seniors in the US.

  • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: February 28

    Eligibility: Open to college-bound women of international backgrounds (or Americans who are first-generation college students) who will be entering an American college or university in the coming Fall.

  • Amount: $5,000

    Deadline: February 28

    Eligibility: Open to current and prospective students pursuing an engineering degree at an ABET-accredited college or university. Minimum GPA for high school seniors is 3.5, minimum GPA for current undergraduates is 3.0.

  • Amount: $30,000

    Deadline: February 29

    Eligibility: Open to current undergraduate juniors and seniors of Hispanic/Latino descent enrolled in STEM programs. Must be a graduate of a high school in one of the Northern California counties listed on the scholarship page. Open to US residents and students with DACA. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

    Eligibility: Open to highly motivated DREAMers or undocumented students with significant, unmet financial need. Minimum 2.5 GPA.
