Awards are available to a minority student who is either a resident of Los Angeles, Ventura or Orange counties or is enrolled at a university in one of those three California counties. Must have completed sophomore year and be enrolled in or accepted to a journalism program.
Any student attending an accredited California community college or state university majoring in a landscape-related program and taking a MINIMUM OF SIX UNITS IS ELIGIBLE. Certificate programs are not eligible.
Young people who are interested in this opportunity are challenged to write an essay on a topic of our selection. The winning applicant will be presented with a $500 college scholarship that may be used toward related education expenses.
