Gionandrea Pugi Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Description

The Gionandrea Pugi Scholarship program is providing renewable scholarships of $5,000 for students of Italian descent who are pursuing studies in the fields of medicine or biology.

Applicants must be currently enrolled college undergraduates of self-declared Italian descent, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Eligible applicants must be planning to continue full-time study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year, and must be enrolled in studies of biology or medicine (such as taking courses in preparation for Medical or Nursing school.)

Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance.
