The Black Girls Movement Scholarship Program provides financial support for students while promoting community within STEM education along with resources to engage them in the process. The BGM Scholarship Program awards college-bound high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement and an expressed interest in a profession within Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics.
An eligible student must be an African-American woman residing within the US that is graduating high school as a senior by the summer.
Eligible applicants must intend to continue their education at a four-year college or university for the upcoming fall semester.
Each eligible applicant must submit a 500-word essay on provided topic
Each student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 – Copy of report must be submitted for verification.
Eligible applicants must commit to a virtual seminar in the weeks following the scholarship deadline.
Consideration will be given to academic achievement, career aspirations, and essay expression. Students should submit a scholarship application on the form provided by Black Girls Movement.
