Oratorical contest for high school students in grades nine to twelve. Contestants must prepare to speak on the topic of the U.S. Constitution. Must graduate from an accredited North Dakota high school. Contest begins at the local level and continues to the national level. Several one-time awards of $100 to $2000.
Scholarships will be given to the winners of oratorical contests. Contestants must be in high school with plans to further their education in a postsecondary institution. Oratorical Scholarship Program Contest open to students in ninth to twelfth grades of any accredited West Virginia high school. Speech contests begin in January at post level and continue on to national competition. The scholarship is available to students who are interested in or are already pursuing an undergraduate or graduate-level degree in healthcare or the life sciences. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher, and must also submit a 1,000-2,000 word essay on how their specialized knowledge could be applied to improving the practice of law.
