The Juanita McNeil Scholarship was created to honor the resilience of the West End Community and its residents. The scholarship is also a tribute to Ms. McNeil, who championed a movement in the West End Community that resulted in community revitalization efforts, greater community engagement, and programs that served hundreds of students and their families.

One scholar will be chosen from each of the following areas: Baltimore City or Baltimore County. Applicant must: have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or better; submit SAT (CR+M) scores; demonstrate financial need; and submit an essay (500 words) describing the importance of a college education and why you should receive this award.
Scholarship available to American students interested in studying Norwegian heritage or modern Norway, or Norwegian students 18 or older interested in studying North American culture. Selection of applicants is based on a 500-word essay, educational and career goals, community service, work experience, and GPA. Must have minimum 3.0 GPA.
