Awards are made to students seeking a first bachelor’s degree in a program of study that will lead to a Class A teaching license. Loans will be forgiven for recipients who teach full-time in a Mississippi public school district or charter school for five full years.
Nonrenewable scholarships to high school seniors or college students who are Oregon residents who want to teach in Oregon at an elementary or secondary school. The scholarship may be used at any Oregon public college or university that trains teachers or that transfers credits in education.
An $8,000 scholarship will be awarded over four years to students entering a two- or four-year college or university. The recipients of the USTA Serves College Education Scholarship are eligible to receive $2,000 per year for a total of up to $8,000 to cover costs of tuition, room and board and educational materials.
