Scholarship Description

The Year Abroad scholarship is awarded to American students who wish to spend a semester or year abroad at the Center for Polish Language and Culture in the World, Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland. Studies focus on Polish language acquisition and Polish history and culture. Undergraduate sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students who are US citizens may apply. Scholarship winners receive $900 per semester from the Kosciuszko Foundation. Students also receive a tuition waiver and 1,600 zloty per month from the Polish agency NAWA, National Agency for Academic Exchange. Applicants must submit letters of recommendation, a personal statement, photo, C.V. copy of US passport ID page, official transcripts and a $50 application fee. A report is required at the end of the program. A minimum 3.0 GPA required. This program is restricted to U.S. citizens.
