Scholarship Description
ELIGIBILITY:
- Applying high school seniors must be a student PTA member of a Virginia based High School PTA/PTSA that is in good standing with Virginia PTA
- Applying high school seniors should plan to enroll in one of the following continuing education options for the 2025-2026 school year
- College/University four-year academic degree program
- Technical, vocational, or associate degree (2-3 year) program
- Institute/College of Arts, Dance, or Design
- Special Education program within a technical, vocational, associate degree or a four-year academic program
Eligibility Requirements
- 2.5 Minimum GPA
- Must currently be in high school
- For residents of the following states: Virginia
- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Award is available to U.S. citizens

The Virginia Congress of Parents and Teachers, better known as the Virginia PTA, is a volunteer child advocacy association working for ALL children and youth in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Virginia PTA is the strongest group of volunteers in the state working exclusively on behalf of children and youth. Chartered by the National PTA in 1921, the primary goal of the Virginia PTA is to strengthen our family units, our schools and our communities through parent/family involvement. PTA recognizes parents as the first educators in the home and works to promote parents as partners in the school.
