Scholarship Description
Scholarship to encourage and support students with a demonstrated interest in promoting world peace through work in international relations and diplomatic service to cultivate an understanding of and support for the work of the UN in the United States. At least one award of $1000 will be made in the Spring of each year to assist the selected student with his or her college expenses. Applicants must be graduating seniors of a public high school in Connecticut. The scholarship is based on demonstrated academic excellence, evidence of engagement in international issues, progress in developing proficiency in a foreign language, commitment to social advancement as documented through community service or related activities, and participation in a Model UN or similar intercultural program.
