Scholarship Description
The United Health Foundation is working to cultivate a more diverse health workforce ready to deliver high-quality, culturally competent care to all communities. The United Health Foundation Diversity in Health Care Scholarship is providing 475 awards of up to $3,200 to students seeking to advance their clinical skills.
Applicants must currently hold an active license/certificate to practice in a clinical health career (e.g., as a nurse, physician assistant, clinical psychologist, or clinical social worker), and be enrolled in or planning to attend school to complete a degree or certification to advance their current clinical credentials.
Awards will be given to historically underrepresented students, including those who identify as Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, and Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander. Scholarship recipients must enroll in full-time or part-time study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational-technical, or graduate school, starting in the upcoming Fall.
