Scholarship Description
The Risk Management Foundation (RMA Foundation) has established a scholarship program to assist students who are enrolled in and plan to continue their education at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. or Canada.
Applicants to The Risk Management Association (RMA) Foundation Scholarship Program must:
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of U.S. or Canada.
- Be a current college student enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or Canada and will continue to be enrolled full-time for the entire academic year.
- Have an intent to work in the banking industry following graduation.
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) overall.
Applicants do not have to be a current RMA member, but they must join (free) and remain a member to receive and renew their scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements

- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
- Award is available to Canadian citizens

The Risk Management Association Foundation will provide selected business school students with scholarships, RMA membership, and–through RMA member institutions–mentoring and internship programs. Other initiatives will include executive leadership scholarships for young professionals, scholarships for advanced risk management training, and potential RMA research on behalf of the industry.
