Scholarship Description
The Herbert Lehman Scholarship is a national, highly competitive scholarship that makes annual awards to qualified, outstanding undergraduate students. Awards are $2,000 per year, over four years, for a total of $8,000 – provided funds are available. Scholars must remain in good academic standing and continue to meet the scholarship criteria in order to maintain eligibility.
Applicants should: (1) demonstrate financial need – must have a combined family income of $65,000 or less; (2) record of academic achievement; and (3) demonstrate commitment to public service.
