Scholarship Description
The Short-term credential award supports completing a certificate workplace credential, not a degree as the program lasts one semester or less. An applicant is eligible to apply if one of the following criteria is met: 1) Work full-time (35 hours/week or more) while being enrolled or; 2) Have dependents other than a spouse or; 3) Be financially independent from parents and/or considered independent for FAFSA purposes or; 4) Did not receive a standard high school diploma (completed with a GED, HiSET, or certificate of completion) or; 5) have delayed enrollment in college after high school for a reason other than a gap year activity. All applications and required information sent separately must be postmarked by the 1st of each month to be considered in that month’s round of applications.
