Scholarship Description
PlaceWorks has established a scholarship program to assist current undergraduate and graduate students in California who are pursuing a degree in Planning, Urban Design, Environmental Planning, or Landscape Architecture.
Applicants to the PlaceWorks Scholarship Program must:
- Self-identify as a member of at least one of the following underrepresented groups:
- American Indian or Alaska Native
- Asian
- Black or African American
- Hispanic or Latino
- Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
- Be residents of California
- Be current college undergraduates or graduate level students pursuing a degree in one of the following fields (or related fields):
- Planning
- Urban Design and/or Architecture
- Environmental Planning
- Landscape Architecture
- Plan to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in California for the entire upcoming academic semester or term
Eligibility Requirements
- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Must be American Indian/Alaska Native
- Must be Asian/Pacific Islander
- Must be Black, African American
- Must be Hispanic, Latino/a
