North Dakota Health Policy Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association (NDNPA) originated in 2005 as the result of a statewide, grassroots effort initiated by three pro-active North Dakota nurse practitioners. Since that time, the association has elected officials, established bylaws, worked on important legislative issues, networked with other state, regional, and national nursing groups, and has continued to host an annual pharmacology conference. In 2021, the NDNPA board approved a new Health Policy scholarship fund to extend their mission of promoting quality health care in North Dakota to further enhance their goal of assisting the participation of nurse practitioners in the legislative and public policy process. The recipient of this scholarship will be expected to attend the Spring 2025 AANP Health Policy Conference in Washington, DC. A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to one resident of North Dakota pursuing a graduate degree with a nurse practitioner focus to cover the cost of attending this conference.
