Scholarship Description
New York Women in Communications, Inc, cultivates leaders in our field by providing financial support, opportunities for professional development and mentoring to a diverse community of communications professionals. We are the largest foundation for women’s communications scholarships in the U.S.
The scholarship is open to students who are:
- U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents who live in NY, NJ, CT, or PA
- College undergraduate students who are permanent residents of one of these states and full-time students
An applicant must:
- be majoring, planning to declare a major, or pursuing an advanced degree in a communications-related field at a U.S. accredited college/university. Communications-related fields include, but are not limited to, advertising, broadcasting, communications, digital media, English, film, journalism, marketing, public relations, or publishing.
- have an overall GPA of 3.2 (or 87%) or better
Eligibility Requirements
- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
- Award is available to Canadian citizens
- Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
