Scholarship Description

The NJCL annually grants several scholarships to NJCL members. Scholarships are awarded on the following criteria: (1) financial need; (2) JCL service at local, state, and national levels; (3) academic record; (4) recommendations from teachers, principals, counselors, and other adults. Special consideration will also be given to those applicants who intend to teach Latin, Greek, or the Classical Humanities.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must currently be in high school
  • Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
  • Award is available to U.S. citizens
  • Award is available to Canadian citizens
  • Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
