The Foundation awards scholarships on a nationwide basis to law students who demonstrate a commitment to serve or contribute to the Asian Pacific American community as future leaders. In addition to the named scholarships, NLF will award $2,000 scholarships with reference to the quality of the applicant pool. In recent years, eight to ten such additional scholarships have been awarded each year.
Students must currently be enrolled in law school to be eligible for a scholarship. Students entering law school as first year students are eligible. The scholarships are generally awarded on the bases of academic achievement, financial need, leadership potential and commitment to/interest in serving the Asian Pacific American community.
