Scholarship Description
The Myrna D. Schlegel/AWARE Scholarship was originally established in 1999 to honor Myrna Schlegel, a registered nurse. In 2016, Myrna, in partnership with AWARE (Alzheimer’s Women’s Association for Resources and Education), transferred the Myrna D. Schlegel/AWARE Scholarship Fund to The Dallas Foundation in order to better orchestrate the details of the scholarship. Applicants must be accepted to, or are currently attending an undergraduate or graduate nursing program at Baylor University, Texas Woman’s University, or Texas Christian University.
