Scholarship Description
The MIT THINK Scholars Program is an educational outreach initiative that promotes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by supporting and funding projects developed by high school students. Full-time high school students apply to the program by submitting a proposal for any novel science, technology, or engineering idea. Finalists Receive: All expenses paid trip to MIT that includes (1) Presentation of research proposals, (2) Meeting with MIT professors in the students area of interest, (3) Personalized tours of MIT research laboratories, (4) Attending MITs spring tech symposium, (5) Opportunity to attend MIT classes and experience MIT student life, (6) Budget of $1000 to implement project, (7) Weekly mentorship meetings with MIT student mentors.Applicants must be US residents. US citizenship is not required, but US citizens living outside the country are not eligible. One or two students can work on a project.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must currently be in high school
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
- Award is available to Canadian citizens
- Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
