Scholarship Description
The AIChE Minority Scholarship Award is presented to selected incoming college students annually. Applicants shall be required to be high school graduates during the current academic year and be members of a minority group that is under-represented in chemical engineering, i.e., African-American, Hispanic, Native American, Alaskan Native, Pacific Islander.
Applicants must plan to enroll during the current academic year in a four-year college or university offering a science/engineering degree. Students are encouraged to choose classes leading to a degree in chemical engineering. While students admitted for science and engineering degrees are encouraged to apply for this scholarship, preference will be given to students admitted into chemical engineering degree programs.
