Scholarship Description

After serving your country in the military, we can help you channel your leadership skills into job training. Our Imagine America military scholarship to trade schools can be applied to a variety of growing career paths. Whether you want to be a welder, mechanic, work in cyber security or information tech, we have 550 partners with short-term programs that you can enroll in.

Before you check out the qualifications for our Military Award Program (MAP), check out these benefits of applying for this scholarship:

  • Does not have to be repaid. Scholarship money can be applied to your tuition, and can result in a $1,000 award
  • It only takes a few minutes, it’s FREE to apply
  • You become part of a community of students of all ages and backgrounds who want to improve their lives through career training

Prospective MAP applicants must meet the following guidelines to apply:

  • Be enrolling into a participating college
  • Active duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired veteran of the United States military
  • Likelihood of enrolling and successfully completing postsecondary education
  • Not be a previous recipient of any other Imagine America Foundation scholarships/awards
  • Financial need
