Scholarship Description
The Scholarship is awarded to students seeking a career in the maritime industry, or with a career, that influences the maritime industry. Students are evaluated based on their academic achievement (minimum 2.5 GPA) and demonstrated interest in the industry. Eligibility: eligible students will be entering the junior or senior year of a 4-year college/university, OR students of a 2-year institutional degree program (any year), OR students in a US Coast Guard approved training program (any year) OR graduate students (any year). Major: Field related to Maritime Industries and/or International Trade. EXAMPLES (not exhaustive): Admiralty Law; Tug and Barge Operators; Forwarders and Brokers; Maritime Pilots; Naval Architecture; Surveyors; International/Global Studies; Operational Oceanography; International Business, Trade, and Tax Law; Logistics; Maritime Law Enforcement; Marine Wielding and other Skilled Labor

- Award is available to U.S. citizens
- Award is available to Canadian citizens
- Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
