Scholarship Description
Virginia offers several scholarship opportunities to help pay for nursing education in exchange for service in Virginia after graduation. Scholarships are available for students enrolled in an approved nurse education program in Virginia. The program must prepare them for examination for licensure as a: Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Certified Nursing Aides. Scholarships are for students enrolled at an accredited program in the state of Virginia.
All programs require residency in Virginia for at least one year and full or part-time enrollment in the appropriate educational program along with a completed application and other required materials. The applicants must also:
MMNSP for LPNs, RNs, and CNAs requires a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 (GPA may not be required for CNAs) and a demonstration of financial need, verifiable by the financial aid office of the applicant’s nursing school.

- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
