Scholarship Description
Awarding a total of $18,000 for up to two years of school, the Little Bird Scholarship provides a measure of financial stability to undergraduate students who are both LGBTQ or intersex and undocumented immigrants, including refugees and individuals seeking or granted asylum.
The application consists of 2-3 short essay questions, a letter of recommendation, and transcripts from your current academic institution. There is no minimum GPA requirement.
To be eligible, applicants must:

not hold U.S. citizenship, a green card, or an F-1 visa;

be enrolled at an accredited, nonprofit school in New York City; and
-
be rising juniors or seniors.
Eligibility Requirements
- For residents of the following states: New York
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Award is available to Canadian citizens
- Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
