JWSF Academic Scholarship

Scholarship Description

Are you a Hawaii resident who is enrolled or has been accepted to a graduate degree program in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, or the Arts and Sciences? If so, you may be eligible for the JWSF Academic Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship awards up to $5,000 to multiple graduate students who also demonstrate an interest and commitment to the field of Gerontology/Geriatrics based on coursework, research, and/or volunteerism. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need and submit an essay addressing “the applicant’s plans for further academic training and how this would have an impact on the services for the elderly in Hawaii” to be considered.
