Scholarship Description

The Luso-American Education Foundation has administered and awarded scholarships and grants to eligible students since its inception in 1963. LAEF has granted over $1,700,000 in scholarships and grants throughout the years, and continues to serve its community through its scholarship and grant program.

John L. Avila Memorial Scholarship; a one-time non-renewable scholarship of $1,500.

Requirements:

1. Post Graduate Student

2. Must be active/participating member in their 20-30’s Region and/or Adult Council.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Aged between 18 and 39 years old
  • Award is available to U.S. citizens

Application Requirements

  • Application form required
  • Transcript required
  • Recommendations or references required
  • Special requirements exist (These are specified in text.)
  • Photograph required
  • Society member and policy holder in good standing for a minimum of 2 years
