Scholarship Description
Purpose: To encourage the understanding, development and use of underutilized native plants. Established to encourage the development of research, documentation, and teaching skills in the field of horticulture.
$3000 scholarship to support study at an accredited college, university, or major botanic garden or arboretum. Projects may include, but are not restricted to, plant propagation, and the acquisition of skills for working with native plant collections, including techniques for incorporating them in managed landscapes. Photographic and written documentation of studies and research projects may be considered. Open to college undergraduates and graduate students, advanced degree candidates, or non-degree-seeking applicants above the high school level.
