Frank Dias Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The Luso-American Education Foundation has administered and awarded scholarships and grants to eligible students since its inception in 1963. LAEF has granted over $1,700,000 in scholarships and grants throughout the years and continues to serve its community through its scholarship and grant program.

Frank Dias Memorial Scholarship awards a one-time non-renewable scholarship in the amount of $1,000.

Requirements:

1. Applicant must be enrolled to begin classes at a community college, trade school, or four-year College/University.

2. Applicant must be an active youth member in a Youth Council.

3. Applicant must be a resident of Northern California.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must currently be in high school
• Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
• Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
• Type of institution award is open to: trade/technical school
• Award is available to U.S. citizens

Application Requirements

• Transcript required
• Recommendations or references required
• Special requirements exist (These are specified in text.)
• Photograph required
• Society member and policy holder in good standing for a minimum of 3 years
