Scholarship Description
Award of up to $6000 to young people under the age of 25 who spent the 12 consecutive months prior to their 18th birthday in foster care or who were adopted or placed into legal guardianship from foster care after their 16th birthday. Scholarships are awarded for the pursuit of postsecondary education, including vocational/technical training, and are renewable for up to five years based on satisfactory progress and financial need.

Nationwide, many, many people will need help in the coming days, weeks and months. If everyone who can, gives a little, together we can ease the economic impact on our most vulnerable citizens. Foster youth are a unique group of young Americans; many do not have a cohesive, stable support system that can help them when they are in need. Those in college are now stuck, dorms are closing but where will they go and how will the get there? Youth and alumni are reaching out daily to tell us that their work hours have been reduced or they have been laid off. They are desperate ‘ how will they pay rent and not end up couch surfing or worse? These young adults are fighting to beat the odds. Without parental help, they face monthly student loan debt, car payments, rent and with the current COVID-19 crisis, their economic wellbeing is in immediate jeopardy. After working so hard to enroll in college, many will slip into poverty unless we provide an emergency safety net. Please help us, help them ‘ 100% will be given to FC2S students and alumni across the US who need a little help NOW.
