Scholarship Description
Scholarship to assist dependents of deceased or 100 percent permanently disabled veterans of service with the 1st Marine Division in furthering their education towards a bachelor’s degree. Awarded to full-time, undergraduate students who are attending an accredited college, university, or higher technical trade school, up to a maximum of four years.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must currently be in high school
- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: trade/technical school
Application Requirements

- Special requirements exist (These are specified in text.)
- Death certificate of the applicant's sponsor or an affidavit from the Veteran's Administration attesting to the 100% and permanent disability of the applicant's sponsor; applicant's birth certificate under the seal of an Office of Vital Statistics; applicant's Social Security Number and telephone number; a letter from the prospective scholar describing goals and aspirations; other documents/information listed in the scholarship web page.
