Scholarship Description
Awarded to current high school seniors, full-time and part-time, degree-seeking undergraduates and graduate students.
Must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Dependent of a member of the US Armed forces whose death and disability resulted from military service; a veteran suffering from service-connected disability;
- Dependent of a victim of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks;
- A POW/MIA or dependent of a POW/MIA of the Vietnam Conflict; dependent of a state or local public safety employee or volunteer whose death or disability resulted from service;
- A state or local public safety employee or volunteer whose disability resulted from service;
- A veteran or dependent of a veteran who either suffers a service-connected disability and has exhausted or is no longer eligible for federal veterans’ educational benefits;
- Dependent of a school employee who, as a result of an act of violence either died in the line of duty or sustained an injury in the line of duty that rendered the school employee 100% disabled.

- For residents of the following states: Maryland
- Served in any military service
- Special military service requirements
- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
