Scholarship Description
A $1,000 scholarship available to any undergraduate student from the state of Alabama who identifies as lesbian or gay. The scholarship applies to attendance at any institute of higher learning in the United States.
The scholarship is awarded in August for the upcoming school year. An essay and proof of college attendance/acceptance is required by June 30th. The essay should be no more than five pages and discuss the applicants background, educational history, goals for the future and why the applicant believes he or she should receive the scholarship. The essay can be mailed to the IanThom Foundation at the address listed or sent via email.

- Type of institution award is open to: trade/technical school
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
