David Risling Emergency Aid Scholarship

Scholarship Description

This scholarship is very limited in the amount available as well as the situation covered (eviction, utility disconnection, child removed from daycare for non-payment, some very limited car expenses for commuting students). Scholarship is for acute, temporary, unexpected emergencies that would keep students from attending school. Tuition, books, computers and other expected expenses are NOT considered emergencies. Must be Native American/Alaska Native. We do not fund summer session or expenses incurred over the summer.

• Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
• Must be American Indian/Alaska Native
• Award is available to U.S. citizens

• Financial need analysis required
• Essay required
• Recommendations or references required
• Special requirements exist (These are specified in text.)
• Tribal Enrollment, financial aid award letter, full time class schedule, explanation of need, proof of need
