Scholarship Description
This scholarship fund has been created to honor the memory of Chris Pitkin, health policy consultant and advocate, a leader in the hemophilia community, former president of the Foundation, and a beloved friend of many.
Applicant must be:
- a person with a bleeding disorder OR must have an immediate family member with a bleeding disorder; however, priority will be given to those with bleeding disorders;
- accepted into an educational/vocational institution and able to provide proof of enrollment;
- resident of, or have permanent address in, one of the following Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Kern, Inyo and Santa Barbara

Hemophilia Foundation of Southern California (HFSC) is a 501(c)(3) organization in Southern California that works to improve and enrich the lives of our bleeding disorder community members for over 60 years. We work closely with 4 Hemophilia Treatment centers in Southern California as well as with National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) and Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA) to provide fun, exciting, engaging, and educational programs to the bleeding disorders community.
