Scholarship Description
The Foundation provides each scholar a minimum award between $5,000 and $10,000. The award amount is determined based on the student’s cost of attendance and financial need. Louis Stokes Health Scholars renew their scholarship by maintaining their eligibility and submitting mid- and end of year reports and materials. This award will be given to 4 students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited four-year college/university for the current academic year. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, be studying a health-related field, and be a U.S. citizen or have permanent U.S. residency, and is pursuing a qualifying primary health care profession. This award is supported through our partnership with United Heath Foundation.
