AWG Ethnic Minority Scholarship

Scholarship Description

The Minority Scholarship encourages young women of a minority background, or heritage, to pursue a major and career in the geosciences. The scholarship provides financial support for college expenses and matches the student with a mentor who has a career similar to that desired by the awardee.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be Female
• Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
• Must be American Indian/Alaska Native
• Must be Black, African American
• Must be Hispanic, Latino/a
• Award is available to U.S. citizens

• Recommendations or references required
• Special requirements exist (These are specified in text.)
