Scholarship Description
AMIA administers the first scholarship program of its kind designed specifically for students wishing to pursue careers in moving image archiving. In 2024, AMIA will offer three scholarships ($4,000 each).
- The Sony Pictures Scholarship is supported by Sony Pictures Entertainment. In 1998, it became the first financial award in our field to be endowed on a permanent basis.
- The George Blood LP Women in AV Archiving and Technology Scholarship is supported by George Blood LP.
- The Broadening Perspectives Scholarship is supported by George Blood, LP.
Applicants must submit a separate application form and a unique essay for each scholarship, but may submit one set of supporting documents (references, transcripts) to be eligible for all three scholarships.
Eligibility Requirements
- 3.0 Minimum GPA
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
- Award is available to Canadian citizens
- Award is available to citizens of countries other than the U.S. and Canada.
