Scholarship Description
ASMR will award three scholarships this year to deserving undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. students (one scholarship at each level) from academic institutions having curricula leading to professions related to reclamation. In addition to a cash award ($1,000 for undergraduate, $1,500 for masters, and $2,000 for Ph.D.), a plaque, one-year student membership, complimentary national meeting registration, a ticket to the Early Career Professionals Event, a meeting travel grant, and a meeting awards luncheon ticket will be provided.Selection criteria: (1) Applicants must have completed at least the sophomore year of a curriculum in a science discipline directly relating to and leading to a profession in reclamation; (2) Applicants must be full time students, have an adequate grade point average, carry the curriculum required hours, and have participated in other scholastic activities; (3) Extracurricular participation and leadership in a recognized ASMR student chapter and other professional accomplishments will be considered beneficial to the applicant; (4) Applicants will be considered for a Scholarship at a specific level either while they are enrolled at that given level or within one calendar year of completing their degree at that given level.For more info, visit American Society of Mining and Reclamation website.
