Scholarship Description
The Alabama Home Builders Foundation scholarship was founded in 1995 with a mission to help fund deserving students who are interested in pursuing an education in the residential building trades in the state of Alabama.
Eligibility
- Must be a resident of Alabama.
- Must be enrolling in, or attending, an accredited community college, technical school or university in Alabama.
- Must be enrolled in a residential construction-related curriculum:
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Plumbing
- Masonry
- Architecture (3rd year)
- Building Construction/Science (3rd year)
- Construction Management/Technology
- Engineering (Civil, Electrical)
Eligibility Requirements
- For residents of the following states: Alabama
- Type of institution award is open to: two-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
- Type of institution award is open to: trade/technical school
- Award is available to U.S. citizens
Application Requirements

- Transcript required
- Financial need analysis required
- Recommendations or references required
- Special requirements exist (These are specified in text.)
- Proof of residency
