Achievement Scholarship for Students with a History of Chronic Illness

Scholarship Description

The Achievement Scholarship for Students with a History of Chronic Illness is available to graduating seniors or graduates of a high school in Delaware who have experienced a health-related issue, lasting at least 6 months, that impeded the student’s pursuit of their education are welcome to apply.

1. Experience with a health issue, documented by a medical professional, that lasted at least six months and impaired the applicant’s ability to pursue his or her education.
2. Graduating senior or former graduate of any high school in Delaware
3. Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor’s degree
4. Preference is given to those enrolled in the First State School or any of its branches prior to or at the time the health related issue occurred.
5. Past awardees are eligible to apply.

Application Requirements

• Special requirements exist (These are specified in text.)
• Documentation to be provided by a medical professional documenting the illness and its impact on students ability to attend school.
