Scholarship Description

Established in 1994 by NBA Legend and Tulsa native John Starks, The John Starks Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Tulsa, OK college-bound high school seniors in the form of monetary grants. 

High school seniors are eligible to apply for the 3 Point Scholarship beginning in January.  Scholarship recipients are selected based upon financial need, academic achievement, and a commitment to community service. Students may attend any four (4) year accredited college or university in the USA.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 3.0 Minimum GPA
  • Must currently be in high school
  • Type of institution award is open to: four-year college
  • Award is available to U.S. citizens

  • Financial need analysis required
