Self-Reflection Scholarship

What the Self-Reflection Scholarship is all about:

Self-reflection can be defined as taking the time to think about and evaluate your behaviors, thoughts, attitudes, motivations, and desires. As challenging as it may be, engaging in self-reflection helps us to become more familiar with our inner self, our values, and who we are. It allows us to gain perspective on our lives thus far, as well as learn and understand from our past actions (and even mistakes) to help us decide how we can live our best and most fulfilling lives.

One of the easiest ways to self-reflect is through writing, which is why we created this scholarship; to help you reflect on your past in order to better your future while ALSO applying for a $500 scholarship!

Who is eligible to apply for the Self-Reflection Scholarship?

You must be a current high school or college student enrolled in a US institution. International students studying in the US are also eligible to apply, given that you have a current address in the US.

Our goal with this scholarship is to make it open to as many students as possible – therefore, there are no GPA, major, or other requirements other than being a current high school or college student!

**NOTE: You MUST be following both @accessscholarships and @_growingwithgabby on Instagram to be eligible to win!

Scholarship amount

1 scholarship winner will be awarded a prize of $500.

Scholarship deadline

The deadline to apply for the Self-Reflection Scholarship is May 31, at 11:59 PM EST. If you have not filled out the form and submitted all necessary information and requirements by this day and time, your application will not be considered.

Written submission requirement

For this part of the application, we’re leaving it up to you to self-reflect. You can refer back to a specific memory, occurrence, or point in time, or to a more general span of time, that you feel has had an impact on your life and who you are today. Remember, it doesn’t have to be the biggest or most life-changing thing that ever happened to you to be important and have meaning! Feel free to reflect on anything that stands out or “speaks” to you.

*Written submissions can be anywhere between 250 and 500 words

*Additionally, there are no restrictions or rules on the form in which this submission should be written; formatting is open to interpretation. You can write a song, an essay, a poem, etc. Feel free to write in whatever way speaks to you!
