The awards are given to graduate students who show promise of significant contribution to historical scholarship. Applicants must be members of the association, advanced to candidacy, and must be writing the dissertation at the time of the application. The $1000 award may be used for any expenses related to the dissertation.
Fellowships are generally awarded to musicians based in the United States (although not necessarily U.S. citizens) at the outset of their professional lives, for whom this would be the first extended period of study abroad. Sponsored by the United States Department of State, the Fulbright Teacher Exchange arranges direct one-to-one classroom exchanges to over thirty countries for teachers at all levels. Administrators job-shadow their foreign counterpart for up to six weeks.
Award is for undergraduates. Serving students in seven partner high schools, Fremont, Hamilton, Locke, Los Angeles, Manual Arts, Crenshaw and Wilson. Only students who participated in the Fulfillment Fund High School Program for at least two years are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Ten scholars matriculating to four-year institutions will receive an award of up to $10,000 per year for two years. The program has awarded seventeen scholarships since 2012. The awards are renewable for four years and candidates must be U.S. citizens.
