Scholarship Description
The Governor’s Office of Community Service and Montana Campus Compact are again partnering to offer the Youth Serve Montana Scholarship to as many as 100 Montana high school seniors. This scholarship was created to promote volunteerism among high school students, to encourage young leaders to further their learning, and to provide tuition assistance for Montanan students who wish to attend college in state. Students who apply and qualify may receive $1,200 toward continued education at any of Montana Campus Compact’s member institutions. Qualifying students must have completed 100 hours of volunteer service in their community within the past 12 months. Students should submit their application directly to the Governor’s Office of Community Service. The application must be validated by the student’s high school counselor, principal, or superintendent. Applications, proof of volunteer service, and proof of acceptance to a Montana post-secondary institution must also be submitted.
