The state of Wisconsin is home more than 80 public universities, two-year community colleges, and private undergraduate and graduate universities combined. Whether you’re a high school senior looking at attending a Wisconsin college or university, or you’re a current college student at one of Wisconsin, many institutions, this post highlights many great scholarships and resources for you to take advantage of.

Wisconsin scholarships to apply for

  • Amount: $1,000

    Deadline: March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31

    While our quarterly scholarship is not exclusive to Wisconsin students, it’s a great no-essay scholarship to apply for in addition to the scholarships on this list! Open to high school, college, and graduate students of all years. DACA students are also encouraged to apply.

  • Amount: $25,000

    Deadline: Monthly

    Details: This monthly scholarship is open to all college students!  Just fill out one simple registration form.

  • Amount: $2,250

    Deadline: Rolling

    Eligibility: Renewable award for high school seniors with the highest GPA in graduating class. Must be a Wisconsin resident attending a nonprofit Wisconsin institution full-time.

  • Amount: up to $1,800

    Deadline: Rolling

    Eligibility:The TIP grant aids low-income and disadvantaged Wisconsin students with additional college funding to help reduce the student’s amount of loan, work-study, or unmet need.

  • Amount: $2,250

    Deadline: Rolling

    Eligibility: The Technical Excellence Scholarships (TES) are to be awarded by the State of Wisconsin to high school seniors who have the highest demonstrated level of proficiency in technical education subjects.

  • Amount: up to $5,000

    Eligibility: Each student must have an education focus included in their independent living plan. The student must be involved in designing their plan and program activities.

  • Amount: $1,000

    Eligibility:  To be eligible, you must be a member of Future Farmers of America.

  • Amount: $1,500

    Deadline: February 2

    Eligibility:Scholarships are open to students planning to major in journalism, broadcasting or electronic media at an accredited post-secondary educational institution.

    Eligibility: Shari Simon Greenberg Community Scholarships of the Simon Youth Foundation are available to high school seniors living near a Simon mall or in the surrounding communities.

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: February 28

    Eligibility: Students must be a member of ASM International or Material Advantage. Students must also have an intended or declared major in metallurgy or materials science. engineering.

    Eligibility: The Hmong Community Higher Education Scholarship Fund is to award scholarships to outstanding graduating high school seniors and current college students of Hmong descent who are pursuing a college degree in any field of study.

  • Amount: $2,500

    Deadline: March 1

    Eligibility: Two scholarships will be awarded to a mid-west student pursuing a Bachelor degree in welding engineering, welding engineering technology, manufacturing or mechanical engineering with a welding emphasis.

    Deadline: March 11

    Eligibility: PFund’s scholarship fund is used to provide scholarships to LGBTQ+ learners from the upper Midwest at all stages of their educations.

    Eligibility: This scholarship will provide $750 per semester for eight consecutive semesters as long as he/she remains enrolled in a Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science curriculum and continues to display satisfactory academic progress.

    Eligibility:  Eligible applicants must be Wisconsin residents, enrolled in 6 credits, and pursing studies in fields related to the restaurant and hospitality industries, such as Culinary, Baking, Hospitality, Food Science and Family and Consumer Science Education.

  • Amount: $1,000 (10 available)

    Deadline: April 30

    Eligibility: The ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship is open to high school seniors, and parents of students, who are residents of Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota or Wisconsin.

  • Amount: $2,000

    Deadline: April 30

    Eligibility: Student must be residents Western Wisconsin or attending school in Minnesota or Western Wisconsin, volunteer and/or take part in community service and are pursuing a career in healthcare.

  • Amount: $2,000

    Deadline: November 1

    Eligibility: The Milwaukee’s Finest Scholarship Program is available to graduating seniors from a Milwaukee County high school in Wisconsin. Students who have been active in community service and extracurricular activities and are pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree are welcome to apply.
